The Tangled Roots Collective is a group of Black, Indigenous and People of Color who connected via a virtual seed workshop in February of 2021. Since then, we have met monthly (every second Tuesday of the month from 5:30pm-7:00pm) to create, learn, and play together. seed project holds the virtual space and has been able to provide opportunities for professional development, self-care, and creative freedom. On July 24th members of Tangled Roots met at Tec Centro Southeast for our first ever in person session! We discussed the details of our mini Art Swap (more details coming soon!!), shared techniques for creating mixed media work, tested our supplies from Curio and shared ideas about what we can create together. Co-Initiator josh graupera also held space for the discussion of a group logo (more on this soon too!). Here are some photos of us in action!
